In a recent interview with party supporters of the All Progressives Congress in Benue State, it was gathered that the executive chairman of Gwer West Local Government  Area in Benue State   mistakenly shouted APC in a PDP rally held in Benue State of Nigeria and was asked to kneel down by the state Governor Dr. Samuel Ortom.

The State Governor of  who defected from APC to PDP as a result of the party's refusal to allow him secure a second term ticket got angry and asked the Local Government Chairman to go on his knees. The Chairman pleaded guilty and asked for forgiveness, adding that he did that unknowingly.

The APC/PDP fight has been on for some months, the big wigs of both parties are strongly contending for who to become the next Governor, Otom who is the incumbent Governor defected from PDP to APC because he had issues with his  supposed political Godfather Senator George Akume. Senator Akume is the Chieftain of APC in Benue State, his influence on who becomes what in the State can never be over emphasized.

Political activities are on going with both Gubernatorial Flag Bearers of APC (Emmanuel Jime) and PDP (Samuel Ortom)   travelling to the interior parts of the State to canvass for support and votes in preparation for the forthcoming elections scheduled to hold on the 2nd of March 2019.

The victim of the APC rally who was asked to kneel down for mentioning APC in a PDP rally has since been forgiven and asked to sin no more.
