for: Electrical and Instrumentation Superintendent
Detailed
Description
Reporting
to the Construction Manager, the Electrical and Instrumentation
Superintendent will be responsible for:
*
On-site coordination of manpower, materials and equipment.
*
Plans and implements fabrication means/methods, schedules, productivity innovations,
site logistics.
*
Assists in the development of, monitors, and executes the project plan and
schedule.
*
Supervises and mentors field personnel.
*
Performs construct-ability reviews and assemble/build methodology.
*
Ensures manpower and materials are available to execute the work according to
plan.
*
Responsible for the mobilization and demobilization of all fabrication
personnel in a timely manner.
*
Promotes and implements the Safety and Quality procedures to ensure the scope
of work is performed safely and to the required standards.
*
Liaises with Construction Manager, other discipline superintendents and
engineering to keep the project on schedule, under budget and ensure optimum
success of the project.
Job Requirements
The successful candidate should possess the following
capabilities/experience:
*
Minimum 10 years supervisory experience in a unionized industrial
construction environment.
*
Journey person status in applicable discipline.
*
Knowledge of estimating, purchasing, safety and QHSE practices.
*
Ability to lead a team of technical, clerical and trades personnel.
*
Computer literate.
*
Knowledge of planning, scheduling, change orders, RFI's and other standard
construction documentation.
Engineers
must be registered, or eligible for registration, with the Professional
Engineers & Geo scientists of Newfoundland and Labrador.

is a project based position at the Bull Arm Site.
